Brown Salt and Pepper Cowhide Rug

Pepper, the Salt Pepper Cowhide is an animal-print handmade leather rug. The design is easy to live with: enough detail to hold interest, not so much that it dictates the rest of the room.

Choose the size so the front legs of your seating sit on the rug in a living room, or so 18 to 24 inches of rug shows beyond the mattress in a bedroom. Available in 2 sizes, from 6' x 7' to 7' x 8'.

Handmade construction means the rug was worked by artisans rather than stamped out by machine; expect a piece with character and a long working life. Each hide is naturally unique in marking and shading, so no two pieces are identical; shake it out and wipe with a damp cloth rather than washing.

• Sizes: 6' x 7', 7' x 8'
• Construction: Handmade
• Material: Leather
• Color: Pepper

Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar, rotate the rug once or twice a year, and blot spills promptly. As with any handmade rug, expect small variations in size and colour; they are part of the piece, not defects.
